TV Segment: Thanksgiving Day Looks

During Thanksgiving many of us are spending time with family and friends and the day usually consists of lots of eating and drinking. So when it comes to your wardrobe it's best to choose outfits that are stylish but not too tight and constricting. The perfect outfit would be both cozy and chic.

Yesterday I stopped by Let's Talk live and shared some Thanksgiving day style tips and also showed three fabulous outfits that are super comfy and festive.

Special Thanks to Bloomingdales Chevy Chase for providing the models outfits and to our fabulous models Channon Bishop, Catherine Zinn, and Jessica Likas.

Fox 45 Baltimore: Bags That Go From Day To Night

Most women typically use large totes and satchels during the day and reserve their beautiful small clutches for the evening. But there so many times when we need one bag to function for day and night events right? So on yesterday's TV segment over at Fox 45 Baltimore I shared some of my favorite bags that can easily transition from day to night.

Special thanks to Danielle Nicole, Rent The Runway, and Kotur for providing the fabulous bags for the TV segment.

How to Style Over The Knee Boots

My absolute favorite type of boots and favorite item for fall is a great pair of over the knee boots. I am partial to the styles and quality of over the knee boots at Stuart Weitzman but there are so many other great options out there. Today we have Faith Pierce, our fashion contributor, sharing a few style tips with over the knee boots.

Over the knee boots are popping up more and more lately; so when I found myself constantly clicking on them while online shopping I knew it was time to focus a post around a pair. I decided to pull inspiration from the ever fabulous Olivia Palermo, and mix neutral colors, lots of textures, and top everything off with a fantastic bag. The fur vest is a fun layer to help keep an otherwise neutral look from becoming bland, along with the pop of color in the outerwear. The suede texture of the boot helps to keep things casual and easy to throw on for everyday, and the structured bag adds a lady like and polished element.

What is your favorite way to wear over the knee boots? Let me know in the comments below!

I have had my over the knee boots since 2010 and they still look brand new. Below is a photo of me from last year in Lucky Magazine wearing my favorite pair of Stuart Weitzman 50/50 over the knee boots.

Style Tip: How to Belt A Scarf

Burberry F/W 14

I love wearing scarves in the fall and winter because they are warm and cozy, add some interest to any outfit, and they can be styled so many ways. {see my video tutorial on Huffington Post}

But have you tried this new way to wear a scarf? The belted scarf look was seen on the Burberry F/W 14 runway and Olivia Palermo has embraced this styling trick as well. Earlier this week I styled a long tunic top with a belt from Shawlux and one of my clients also gave this styling trick a try as well. {see last image below}

 What do you think? Are you a fan of this new way to wear a scarf?

Styling Tip: Use a thin belt that is a complimentary color to your scarf and be sure the scarf isn't too thick. This look works best with a thin chiffon or cashmere scarf.

Three Ways To Style a Leather Jacket

A leather jacket is one of my favorite wardrobe staples and I admit I have way too many leather moto jackets in my closet. Today we have our fashion contributor, Faith Pierce, showing us three different ways to style a leather jacket.

Once the temperatures drop a bit my all-time favorite piece to throw over outfits is a leather jacket. Whether it is faux or real, I think they add the perfect compliment to so many looks. I love pairing them with edgier items, casual everyday pieces, jeans + heel combos, and even girlier pieces like dresses and skirts. Above are a few ways to mix things up with your leatherjacket.
A chic white dress is off-set by the leather jacket and ankle boots, but still has a feminine touch with the floppy hat. Nothing beats boyfriend jeans and heels, so when paired with a leather jacket and basic pieces you are left with the perfect weekend wear. Lastly, if you are looking to be a little edgier with your pairing; a buffalo check top and cool slide-ons pair perfectly.
How do you love to style your leather pieces? Do you prefer a more feminine style or an edgier look?
