Last weekend my friend Lee got married and it was such an intimate and beautiful ceremony on Cape Cod. I decided to wear new this little black dress I got from Anthropologie. Since I love black and lace so much purchasing this dress was an easy decison. I also love Byron Lars dresses because they are feminine, comfotable, nicely detailed, and they fit really well.

Last week I wore this brocade dress by Bryron Lars to my cousins wedding at the New Britain Museum of American Art in Connecticut. Lately I have had little luck finding dresses that fit me well but this one fits perfectly and is flattering in all the right places. I was not familiar with this designer but have since learned that Byron Lars has been part of the fashion landscape since his 1991 debut collection. A crisp and clean white shirt is a wardrobe staple and and it doesn't matter what your personal style is because a white shirt can be styled in so many versatile and creative ways. I like layering a longer white button down shirt with skinny jeans or leggings and a cropped jacket. The look is minimalist, chic, and sophisticated.
