Nordstrom Clearance Sale

Happy Valentine's Day!

Have you stopped by the clearance sale at Nordstrom? The sale is REALLY good and it only goes on until February 22nd so be sure to check it out!  I just picked up these three cardigans on sale and they are so cozy and flattering. My casual weekday and weekend wear typically consists of leggings or legging jeans and these longer cardigans pair up nicely and cover in all the right places. Layer them over a silky blouse or simple t-shirt and add a pair of ankle boots or tall boots for a great chic and casual look.

Shop these cardigans and a few more of my favorites below

Valentine's Day: Casual Date Look

This year for Valentine's Day we are staying in and having a low key evening.  I will likely be in my cozy pajamas, making homemade pizza, popping some popcorn, and watching a couple of Netflix movies in our home theatre. We may venture out during the day for a low key lunch and an outfit like this would be perfect.

What are your plans for Valentine's Day?

The Fashion Edit: Winter White

One fashion statement I love during the colder months is “winter white”. I love how it feels crisp and clean but still fresh and easily transitional to Spring. To keep things winter appropriate layer items like coats and chunky knits, add pops of contrasting color (black and emerald look super sharp), and accessorize with fur pieces. Olivia Palermo does a fabulous job of combining these things while look sharp and cool weather appropriate. I also love how Kendall Jenner contrasts a full white look with her emerald green hat.

The Non-Sequined New Years Outfit

For the past few years I’ve sported full blown sequined numbers on New Years. While they are loads of fun, I’ve decided this year to look for something a bit different and unique. Aside from the major shedding sequins do as you dance the night away, I wanted to have an outfit that other’s may not. I’m absolutely loving the darker gold tones of this Tibi full skirt (my obsession as of late) and to keep things fun for a nighttime event I paired it with a crop top. Showing just a sliver of skin is perfect for a big night out (without freezing)! Since it is New Years I added a bit of sparkly jewelry and an ostrich feather bag.

What are you planning to wear on NYE? Are you sticking with sequins or looking for something a bit different?

Holiday Party Outfit Inspiration

With the holiday season in full gear, one of the top things on my mind is what to wear to all of the holiday events I have coming up! Especially the work related ones. The look above is my absolute go-to for the season. Lots of rose gold metallics, a creamy (and soft) knit dressed up with a gorgeous full skirt, and pops of emerald. I think the best way to finish off your makeup look is with a vampy lip. This keeps everything fresh and looking too “red and green”. Below are some of my other favorite picks for the season. I’m especially loving the black dress with ostrich feathers and the striped skirt paired with either the red turtleneck or black sequined top!
