A few weeks ago I met Emily Koplar, the founder and designer of Wai Ming .  Not only is Emily stylish and gorgeous she is friendly and we had a wonderful conversation about her collection and life as a designer.  I love discovering and supporting up and coming designers especially when the collections are wearable and high quality, and stylish.

On another note,  I have not been quite as attentive to the STYLE'N blog lately but for a good reason. I have been consumed with exciting styling projects and also networking and meeting so many amazing women and entrepreneurs in the DC area. And to be honest I could use some fresh new ideas for the blog. Collection To Covet - Angela & Roi Handbags

Recently I was introduced to the beautiful line of handbags by Angel & Roi. These are handbags with a purpose and this company has taken the wonderful opportunity to intertwine consumerism with philanthropy. Angela & Roi donate to various charities depending on what color bag you purchase. {see more details here} In addition, every bag is made from vegan leather and the middleman is avoided by utilizing a web based sales approach. 

I have been searching for a little black handbag and ended up going with this mini cross body. It is perfect bag to take on my upcoming trip to Toronto.  During the day I can use it around town as a cross body bag and at night it converts into a convenient evening clutch.

Collection To Covet - La Kaiser

Designed in Zurich. Handcrafted in the USA. Helping Africa. 

A few weeks ago I had the wonderful opportunity to meet Cindy Kaiser, designer and founder of La Kaiser jewelry. This gorgeous jewelry line is made up of sophisticated and unique jewelry pieces handcrafted in the USA and helping Africa. 

Cindy grew up in Zimbabwe and saw first hand the poverty and social upheavals it can cause and this is why she is so committed to helping people in Africa find stability and economic prosperity. Cindy donates a percentage of the proceeds to a scholarship foundation in Zimbabwe, helping underprivileged children receive an education, that they otherwise would not have the opportunity.  Cindy combines her love of jewelry/fashion with business and giving back to Africa.

I am a huge fan of Jennifer Chun (here and here) and and I was so excited to wear her stone/wood pattern dress this week on Let's Talk Live. This dress is one of my favorite pieces from the SS13 collection.
