    Style Trend: The Maxi Skirt

Naina-Banana Republic tank top and espadrilles, KarmaSuthra necklace, Old Navy cropped crochet sweater, Ann Taylor silk maxi skirt, Calypso St. Barth for Target sequins tote, Michael Kors belt  Ariyana-Calypso St. Barth's for Target dress, Old Navy jellies

We spent the long weekend in Puerto Rico and it was great having some down time to relax, enjoy the sunshine, and spend quality time as a family.  Ariyana even made friends at the pool so I was able to catch up on some leisure reading and after such a long time I finally had time to read (and finish) a book.  The book I read was called Two Kisses for Maddy-A Memoir of Loss and Love and it came highly recommended by my sister.  Even though the story is sad and bittersweet and I cried numerous times, it was such an uplifting and moving story of love and hope.

This vacation was also the perfect opportunity to wear my new white maxi skirt and now that the warm weather is finally here in Boston I cannot wait to style some more summer looks with this skirt.

I have a maxi skirt which I styled in a similar way, sans the sweater. Excited to see the other ways you're going to style it(I like the knotted tops+maxi skirt look too).

Finally :) I love long skirts in summer, they're so comfortable. Hope you had a great time in Puerto Rico.

I just clicked on the link to matt, liz and madeline and to the What Happened post and as I was reading it, I felt like someone had swiftly grabbed all the breath out of me. I did not expect that. And I know I'm going to have to read through the archives.

my friend, your new website looks SO BEAUTIFUL!!!! Seriously! I really like it! Sorry it's taken me so long to visit, I've had a crazy last few days and am just getting around to visiting blogs..yikes.
and puerto rico...sigh. I'm sure it was amazing.
And the bread - it wasn't homemade but my friend did make homemade butterzopf for us once and it was even more incredible than our store bought! I think the bread here that you buy int he store is always pretty fresh though. but anyway, enough about bread!

I got the dip dye Calypso from Target maxi skirt and I absolutely love it. Perfect fit & colors. Debating whether to buy a white maxi (not really debating, just haven't *done it yet =).
