Home Office: Stylish Coffee Table Books

Living In Style |HUEDomino: The Book of DecoratingLittle Black Dress |French Style | Avedon Fashion 1944-2000

We are setting into our new home and making progress with the interior design process in my office space. The office was one of the first rooms I wanted to focus on, mostly because I spend most days of the week working from here and I am one of those people who cannot work and focus unless my workspace is clean, organized, and styled.  So this weekend I selected and ordering coffee table books and accessories {check back tomorow for more on this!} to fill up the ridiculous amount of built in shelving in here. It seems a bit crazy to me to have to buy so many books and other items to display but I am sure once the shelves are styled the finished look will be fabulous. With the help of Lea, with The Casa Pino, we are hoping to get the office space completed in the next month or so and I will be sure to share the "after" photos.

Office Space

I have worked from home the past ten years, first as a Scientific Medical Liaison in Pharmaceuticals and Biotech and now as a personal stylist.  Sometimes it truly feels like I spend countless hours at my desk so it is important that the space around me is not only functional but inspirational and fun.  My ideal work space is clean, minimal, well lit, and stylish of course. I designed my home office with these ideas in mind and I am happy with the way it has all turned out. (despite the fact it took over a year to complete!)

A few weeks ago the talented and lovely Kristina with Fresca Photo (remember these amazing photos?) came over to take photos for my new website (yay-launching in a few weeks!) and so we decided to take a few extra shots in my newly decorated and completed office.

Style In The Kitchen

Even though we have been living in this house for almost a year I just finished decorating and styling the dining area of our kitchen. I wanted to create a clean, modern, minimal and colorful space but since the house is a rental I did not want to go overboard with my budget. I kept the overall look neutral and simple and decided to go with a dark table paired up with contrasting white chairs. I selected this fabric for the chairs but then I saw this IKAT print and immediately changed my mind. The bar cart is from Society Social and curtains are from Restoration Hardware.
