How To Style A Denim Jacket

Fall is officially here and it is definitely starting to feel like it. It's my favorite time of the year because I love layering outfits with tailored coats, long vests, and cozy cardigans. Today we have our fashion and beauty contributor, Faith Pierce, showing us a fun way to style a denim jacket for the cooler fall weather.

One trend that keeps popping up all over my Pinterest recently is the denim jacket for Fall. I’ve been a little skeptical of this trend, since the last time I wore a denim jacket it was quite the jean on jean disaster. Think jean mini skirt with matching (ill-fitted) jean jacket. Putting those thoughts aside; the more recent versions of the denim jacket have been looking rather appealing, so I figured it was the perfect time (and weather) to put a look together.

For an easy way to wear the jacket I kept the denim on top light, and the base much darker. A sweater with texture keeps a neutral look interesting, and a great colored bag and shoes finish off the look. For a more daytime approach, swap the heels for a great low ankle boot!

Naina, I've seen the photo of your living room in your Instagram and can't get the carpet off my mind - can you please tell me where you bought it from? It's gorgeous and the whole setup is so elegant.
